Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring Environmental Technician | General Labor in the United States. This full-time, temp-to-hire role offers weekly pay at $18 per hour.

Key duties include operating and maintaining equipment, identifying improperly packaged wastes, and ensuring wastes are properly contained in labeled containers. You will report daily production to the lead and attend field trainings as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent preferred.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in fluctuating temperatures and environments.
• Able to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist and reach.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment.
• Identify and document improperly packaged wastes and place in designated containers.
• Ensure unknown wastes are placed in designated area or sent to Chemistry.
• Establish and ensure that all waste is processed in closed/labeled containers.
• Maintain clean workspace and store equipment properly.
• Report daily production to lead.
• Attend training and events in field as required.
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place (Wear PPE as required: safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe shoes).

Job duties for Environmental Technician | General Labor:

• Operate and maintain equipment
• Identity and document improperly packaged wastes and place in designated containers or in accordance with applicable SOP
• Ensure all unknown wastes are placed in a designated area or taken to Chemistry
• Establish and ensure that all waste is processed in closed/labeled containers
• Maintain clean workspace and put away equipment in designated locations by the end of the day
• Report daily production to lead
• Attend training and events in field as required
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place (Wear PPE as required: safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe shoes)
• Use of utility knives, hammers, pallet jacks, air lift tables, and paint
• Completes any other related tasks as needed
