Job summary

Tappwfs is seeking an Environmental Technician in Eclectic, Alabama to operate degreaser systems and the on-site wastewater treatment system. You will perform titrations, sampling and system maintenance to ensure compliance with environmental permits and production quality.

This hands-on role offers ownership of two connected systems, with access to the Environmental Manager and opportunities to grow toward wastewater operations and environmental compliance in a stable manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Basic chemistry understanding including pH neutralization and precipitation reactions.
• Experience handling pumps, piping and chemical feed systems.
• Comfort with wet titration, bench testing and instrument calibration.
• Detail-oriented with ability to read and document results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Keep automated degreasing systems running to meet quality and production standards.
• Document titrations and adjust chemical feeds and pumps based on results.
• Inspect degreaser components and keep nozzles, screens and sensors clean and functional.
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes and sludge management.
• Collect compliance samples and prepare chain-of-custody documentation with labs.
• Keep records accurate and escalate deviations or releases promptly.
