Job summary

Anoplate seeks an Environmental Systems Operator to maintain environmental systems and ensure compliant operations. The role includes treating expired solutions, preparing new baths, and making chemical additions to keep production running efficiently.

The position emphasizes safety, proper waste handling, and equipment maintenance, with opportunities to contribute to continuous environmental improvements within a metal finishing facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Hazardous materials handling experience preferred; forklift certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Performs hazardous waste handling, labeling and record keeping as required by OSHA & ISO.
• Pumps, transfers, stores and/or treats solutions unsuitable for processing.
• Bath cleaning and maintenance; ensures tanks are ready for processing solutions.
• Weighs/measures chemicals and adds to processing baths with clean containers and hoses.
• Communicate concerns regarding baths, process issues and waste.
• Emergency spill response cleanup.
