Job summary

UPMC Northwest Hospital in Seneca, PA is seeking a part-time housekeeping aide to clean patient rooms, offices and common areas according to hospital standards. You will move equipment, position blinds, replenish supplies and assist with sanitation duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make beds following established cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Inspect and ensure assigned areas are clean and in good repair; report problems.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment per procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition; report issues to supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, and boxes; wash walls; spot-clean carpets as assigned.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete duties safely.
• May be in rooms where medications are stored; no contact with medications allowed.

Status: Part-Time (minimum 20 hours/week)

Shift: Varying shifts and hours, weekend and holiday shifts would be required.

Duties: Clean all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, to meet Hospital and Department standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment. Move equipment, furniture, boxes, etc. and remove and hang blinds and curtains.

We are looking for candidates that are flexible, self-motivated and able to work with minimal close supervision.

Responsibilities
