Atlanta Housing seeks an Environmental and Sustainability Project Manager to coordinate HUD environmental reviews (NEPA) for dispositions, acquisitions, new construction, rehabilitation, and capital improvements. The role partners with project teams and regulators to ensure timely environmental approvals and supports sustainability initiatives across real estate development and operations.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with projects in Georgia is a plus

Responsabilités

• Coordinate HUD environmental review process (NEPA) including EA and CE reviews
• Manage due diligence: Phase I/II, lead-based paint, asbestos, noise abatement
• Identify impacts and mitigation measures for proposed projects
• Review environmental documents and advise project teams and leadership
• Consult with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals
• Attend meetings on environmental compliance and project status
• Prepare Operations & Maintenance Plans for safety of residents/workers
• Support stormwater inspections and environmental remediation design as needed
• Assist with grant writing and creation of materials for stakeholders
