Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Intern for Summer 2027 in Charlotte, NC. You will support the Sustainability Management Action Plan, collect and analyze data, and prepare internal reports and materials.

Ideal candidates have NEPA familiarity, coursework in sustainability, and strong writing and data skills; Master's study preferred. The role offers mentorship, professional development, and exposure to industry leaders.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEPA, Environmental Impact Statements, and environmental regulations.
• Coursework or projects related to sustainability, environmental impacts, carbon accounting or CSR.
• Participation in campus or community sustainability initiatives.
• In-progress Master's level preferred in sustainability, environmental studies, environmental engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the US Sustainability Management Action Plan and track action items.
• Collaborate with internal task leads to monitor sustainability goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal use.
• Contribute to sustainability communications and initiatives.
• Assist NEPA document control and organization.
• Create public-facing materials and coordinate with project teams.
