Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Intern for Summer 2027 to support NEPA processes, data collection, and reporting. You will work with our sustainability team to gather data, prepare internal materials, and contribute to communications.

You will collaborate across teams to track the Sustainability Management Action Plan and help document project communications; opportunities for mentorship and professional growth are included.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NEPA, EIS, and environmental regulations.
• Coursework or projects in sustainability, carbon accounting, or CSR.
• Participation in campus or community sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support management of the Sustainability Management Action Plan.
• Collaborate with internal leads to track action items related to sustainability goals.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability goals.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal use.
• Contribute to sustainability communications and initiatives.
• NEPA support: document control and organization of project communications.
• Assist in creating public-facing materials and attend coordination meetings.
