Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an entry-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to provide technical support in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assist with design efforts for solar, reclamation, bioenergy, and gas infrastructure projects, including PCSM and sediment control tasks.

Day-to-day work involves coordinating with other groups, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting proposals within the Civil/Environmental Department. A valid driver's license and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering; entry level to 5 years of related experience is appropriate.
• Experience with permitting, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater design is preferred.
• Experience interfacing with state and local agencies and project stakeholders is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support in the design and modeling of Post Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) controls.
• Support the design of Erosion and Sediment control measures to support permit applications.
• Support various phases of technical work from proposal thru implementation working with other groups within the office including administrative, CADD, GIS, wetlands, and construction.
• Review and implement appropriate regulations associated with proposed efforts including local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Support project proposals and successfully completion of the awarded project in accordance with the proposal schedule and budget.
• Able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere providing and taking direction on various aspects of the design and permitting process.
• Interface with various Project Managers, Subcontractors, and as appropriate client and government regulatory agencies.
