Job summary

Converse Consultants in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist or Project Manager to support environmental science, water resources, geotechnical engineering, and soils and materials testing. Qualifications

• One year of relevant environmental consulting experience is preferred.
• Phase I Site Assessment experience is required or preferred.
• Nevada Project Monitor license for asbestos is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively complete assigned field or office tasks and conduct field work.

• Write reports and manage projects, including Phase I Site Assessments.
• Approximately 50% of time is spent outdoors and outdoors work is required.

Converse Consultants is a consulting engineering firm that provides services in the fields of Environmental Science, Water Resources, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Soils and Materials Testing and Inspection.

The Converse Consultants Las Vegas, NV office is seeking a motivated and positive person for the position of Staff Environmental Scientist or Project Manager.

Role Description

Work would include the ability to proactively complete assigned field or office tasks, conduct field work, oversee field work, manage field technicians, interface with clients, writing skills to prepare reports, and the ability to manage projects. Work would include completing Phase I Site Assessments. Full time or part time position with approximately 50% of the time working outdoors. It also seeks a conscientious attitude with the ability to be efficient and solve problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering or related field
• Has project management experience.
• One year of relevant environmental consulting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform field work requiring physical exertion
• Phase I Site Assessment experience
• Groundwater and soil sampling experience
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training, preferred but not required
• Nevada Project Monitor license for asbestos, preferred but not required

Education Requirements
