Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater is looking for an Environmental Specialist 2 or 3 based at the East Boulder Mine in McLeod, MT. This role focuses on environmental programs, regulatory compliance, and environmental training.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental sciences and experience in the mining industry. Responsibilities include compliance oversight, data analysis, and leading environmental projects ensuring safe water and tailings management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of environmental experience in the mining industry or related industry.
• Specific experience with water management and tailings management.
• Experience with ISO 14001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of aspects of environmental programs at East Boulder Mine.
• Prepare, review compliance requirements and monitoring data.
• Provide guidance on environmental issues and ensure compliance.

Skills

Knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations

Leadership qualities

Effective communication skills

Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Education

BS, MS, or Technical Degree in environmental fields
