Qualifications

• 1-5 years engineering experience or 5-8 years equivalent working experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for production stope designs and short-range planning.
• Prepare yearly production budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Assess ground control needs in conjunction with rock mechanics engineers.

Skills

Leadership qualities including character, teamwork, communication

Strong focus on safety

Familiarity with rock mechanics

Strong computer skills in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Basic understanding of MSHA regulations

Proven ability to work within a team-based environment

Working knowledge and experience with mine modeling software

Working knowledge and understanding of cost and schedule variance

Education

BS in Mine Engineering or equivalent
