The Florida Department of Health in Polk County seeks an Environmental Specialist I to support its mission to protect, promote, and improve health through remediation and site management initiatives.

You will develop scopes of work, monitor remediation under PRP contracts, review technical reports, and coordinate with engineers and contractors. This position requires careful data handling and timely reporting from Lake Wales, FL.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a physical or natural science or engineering field is required.
• Experience with environmental project documentation and reporting is preferred.
• Ability to review detailed technical data and sampling procedures.
• Strong communication and organization skills are essential.

• Develop site-specific scopes of work for state-funded restoration projects.
• Monitor rehabilitation progress and advise on cleanup strategies with technical staff.
