Ohio Department of Natural Resources seeks an Environmental Specialist 2 in New Philadelphia, OH to lead AML/AMD project work, sampling, NEPA coordination, and field reviews with multiple stakeholders.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a matching degree; travel may be required. Starting pay is $31.47/hr, with increases to $46.08/hr, plus possible COLA and longevity pay.

Formación

• 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in position involving geology, hydrology, engineering, chemistry, biology, environmental science or related fields.
• Education commensurate with duties: engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, earth science, urban & regional planning, geology.
• 12 mos. exp. as Environmental Specialist 1 or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares narratives and proposals to obtain state and federal funding for AML/AMD sites.
• Conducts AML complaint and site investigations to evaluate problems and eligibility.
• Coordinates field activities to ensure NEPA compliance with staff, agencies, and consultants.
• Conducts field reviews of PHS/AMD projects with stakeholders to ensure contract conformity.
• Performs chemical sampling, interprets data, and operates AMD treatment systems.
