This role requires 4 years of relevant science experience or a related degree; travel may be needed. Starting pay is $31.47/hr, with increases up to $46.08/hr over 7.5 years, plus possible COLA.

Qualifications

• 4 years of training or experience in geology, hydrology, engineering, chemistry, biology, environmental science or related field.
• Degrees aligned with duties (engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, earth science).
• Experience with field investigations, environmental compliance, and NEPA processes.
• Must have reliable transportation for field work.

Responsibilities

• Prepares project narratives, proposals, and documents to obtain funding for AML/AMD sites.
• Conducts AML investigations and screens sites for eligibility.
• Coordinates NEPA-compliance activities with field teams and consultants.
• Reviews field work against contract plans and specifications.
• Performs sampling, data interpretation, and manages AMD treatment systems.
• Travel may be required.
