Peckham Industries, Inc. seeks an Environmental Specialist to work closely with the department to ensure facilities and jobsites operate in full compliance with state, federal and local regulations.

The role blends office and field work, supporting multiple PI I locations and maintaining professional standards. The ideal candidate has a technical background in environmental compliance, experience with sampling and drone use, CAD capabilities, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree related to environmental compliance.
• Proficient verbal and written English.
• Experience with environmental sampling, surveying, and drone use preferred.
• Computer literate; comfortable using MS Office including Excel.
• Experience operating a drone and GPS; training provided; FAA Drone Pilot license required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Develop understanding of environmental regulations governing Peckham facilities and ensure compliance.
• Assist with plant inspections to ensure compliance with policies and protocols.
• Assist in training personnel on environmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain organized files for environmental duties.
• Conduct field surveys and mapping for internal and municipal/state submittals.
• Create maps and drawings using CAD software.

EssentialFunctions:

1. Dedication.DevelopathoroughunderstandingoftheenvironmentalagenciesandregulationsthatgovernPIIfacilities.Workwiththeenvironmentalteam,DirectorofTechnicalServices,andEnvironmentalManagertoensureplantsoperateinfullcompliancewithfederal,state,andlocallawsandregulations.
2. Committedtoserve.Assistwithplantinspectionstoensurecompliancewithcompanypoliciesandprotocols.
3. Assistintrainingpersonnelonenvironmentalpoliciesandprocedures.
4. Mastery.AchieveandmaintainfamiliaritywithPIIfacilitiesandprojects,theirenvironmentalpermitsandtheoperatingconditionswithintheirpermits.
5. Respectandengage.Communicateconsistentlyandpromptlywiththedepartmentteamaboutenvironmentalissues,permitconditions,compliancestatus,andanythingthatmayaffectplantorprojectoperations.
6. Resultsmatter.Maintainclear,concise,organized,andaccuratefilesforallassignedenvironmentalduties.
7. Measurement.Conductfieldsurveysandmappingtoproduceinformationanddeliverablesforinternaluseandformunicipalandstatesubmittals.
8. PrepareprojectdocumentationasdirectedbytheDirectorofTechnicalServicesandEnvironmentalManager.
9. Ownershipandcaring.Becomeproficientwithemergingtechnologies,includingRTKdronesandsub-centimeterGPS,andtheirapplicationtoPIIfacilitiesandprojects.
10. DevelopworkingproficiencyincreatingmapsanddrawingsusingCADsoftware.
11. Determined.Providefieldtechnicalservicestocollectcritical,time-sensitivedata,includingemergencyresponsethatmayextendbeyondnormalworkinghours.

Requirements,EducationandExperience:

1. Associate’sorBachelor'sdegreeinacourseofstudyrelatedtotheEnvironmentalcompliancefield
2. ProficientverbalandwrittenEnglish
3. Experiencewithenvironmentalandaggregatesamplecollection,surveying,anddroneuseforcomplianceactivitiespreferred.
4. ComputerliterateandcomfortableusingMSOfficeprograms,includingExcel.
5. ExperienceusingCADpreferred.
6. ExperienceoperatingaerialdroneandGPSaplus.TrainingonbothdroneandGPSoperationswillbeprovidedasFAADronePilotlicensewillberequired.
7. Musthaveavaliddriver’slicense,reliabletransportationandacleandrivingrecord.
8. LegalrighttoworkintheU.S.
