Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking an Environmental Specialist at our South Boston, Virginia facility. You will ensure regulatory compliance and advance sustainability initiatives while supporting operational excellence across our sites.

The role focuses on developing and strengthening environmental programs, implementing environmental management systems, and monitoring performance to reduce risk and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance, management, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001.
• Experience with environmental auditing, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Strong analytical skills with data analysis and technical report preparation.

• Conduct environmental assessments, audits, and risk evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental Management Systems aligned with ISO 14001 standards.
