Job summary

Green Century Capital Management, the investment advisor to the Green Century Funds, seeks a Shareholder Advocate to advance environmental practices at major corporations. You will develop strategies, target campaigns, and liaise with corporate representatives and coalitions to drive real change.

You will research policies, draft resolutions, and attend meetings, reporting to the Director of Shareholder Advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to travel periodically.
• Commitment to environmental issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, strategy, and implementation of advocacy plan.
• Research corporate environmental policies and best practices.
• Communicate and negotiate with corporate representatives.
• Draft and file shareholder resolutions.
• Attend corporate annual general meetings.
• Vote proxies for companies owned by Green Century and the Funds.
• Engage with shareholder coalition efforts.
• Coordinate with non-profit organizations on actions.
• Communicate with press and media.
• Support Green Century's mission and nonprofit owners.
