Job summary

Intermountain Health's Environmental Services team at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City is hiring for a full-time swing shift housekeeper. The position runs 3:00pm–11:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation and an hourly wage with up to a 10% swing differential.

Job description

SWING SHIFT POSITIONS (3:00PM - 11:30PM)

This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.Posting Specifics:

Pay Rate: Based on Experience.
Will be eligible for up to 10% shift differential due to working the Swing shift.

Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk) Swing Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm). Will included rotation Weekends and Holidays.

Location: Environmental Services at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT

Additional Details : May also cover Custodian or Trash / Bio / Bed Deliver assignments. Need to be able to life 25 lbs. or more on a regular basis.

This is a very physical job and incumbent will be expected to stand/walk for 8 hours constantly. Will also need to be able to bend and get down and up easily. Needs to have good hand dexterity and be able to bend and lift loads. Needs to have good vision and attention to detail.

Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.
Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety

Physical Requirements

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs
Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typical includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
