Job summary

Medina Regional Hospital in Hondo, TX is seeking a PRN Environmental Services Aide to clean patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls and other areas. The role supports patient care by maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and common areas, laundering textiles, restocking supplies, and following established infection-control procedures. Previous experience is helpful but not required for motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after dismissal of patients.
• Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Distributes laundered articles and linens.
• Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
• Disinfects equipment and supplies.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets.
• Transports trash and regulated waste to disposal area.
