Job summary

Medina Healthcare System is seeking a hospital environmental services worker to clean patient rooms, bathrooms, labs, offices, and corridors. The role involves sanitizing equipment, distributing linens, and maintaining clean, orderly spaces throughout the facility.

The position supports bed turnover, waste handling, and routine floor maintenance to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls and other areas.
• Washes beds and mattresses and remakes beds after patient dismissal.
• Disinfects equipment and supplies.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports waste to disposal area.
• Distributes laundered articles and linens.
• Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
