Medina Healthcare System is seeking a diligent hospital housekeeper to clean patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices and halls to the highest standard. You will wash beds and mattresses, remake beds after discharge, disinfect equipment, sweep, mop and wax floors, dust furniture, and handle waste and linens safely in a busy healthcare environment.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred; 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is

• Washes beds and mattresses, remakes beds after dismissal of patients.
• Disinfects equipment and supplies.

• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Transports trash and regulated waste to disposal area.
• Keeps utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Distributes laundered articles and linens.

Summary Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.Washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after dismissal of patients.Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.Distributes laundered articles and linens.Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.Disinfects equipment and supplies.Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.Dusts furniture and equipment.Polishes metalwork.Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebaskets.Transports trash and regulated waste to disposal area.Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
