Environmental Services is a large (170+) team of Service Professionals responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment. Our team receives advanced training in disinfection and infection prevention to clean in patient care areas. They utilize state-of-the-art equipment to clean our 1.8 million square feet of space. Customer service is also a priority, as we work with and around patients and staff in a busy medical center.

If you do not have experience, we will train you for this position.

Performs a variety of general cleaning duties including buffing and refinishing floors, carpet maintenance, and transporting waste, recyclables, and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Hand dust, sweep, mop (dry and wet), spot clean, vacuum, wash walls, windows, sills, clean bathrooms, auto scrub, strip, seal, spray buff, burnish, finish floors, and bonnet buff and extract carpet in assigned areas.
• Remove all bed linens and replace with clean linens; clean mattresses, pillows, and all other furniture in patient units. Clean wastebaskets, lockers, bathrooms, window sills, and floors. Maintain a daily record of all discharge and transfer units cleaned.
• Collect, transport, and deliver equipment, supplies, and waste (hazardous, contaminated, and recycled materials).
• Ensure all housekeeping equipment is clean, safe, and properly maintained. Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor.
• Remove drapes, cubical curtains, and furniture for cleaning and repair.
• Replace consumable supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Move furniture and change light bulbs as needed.
