Responsibilities

Leads the work of Environmental Services employees in the absence of the supervisor. Maintains the Hospital’s environment to be clean and safe. Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of the Hospital through courteous and professional behavior towards patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers, and staff.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

Performs duties as an EVS Tech and EVS Tech Specialist. Follows infection control, prevention, and safety practices in all activities.

Activities include: leading team efforts, scheduling, coordinating shift changes, assigning tasks, cleaning floors, dusting furniture and fixtures, making and cleaning patient beds, waste disposal, washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and lights, changing bulbs, performing non-routine floor care (buffing, shampooing), inspecting and replacing curtains and cubicles, stocking supplies, trash removal, moving furniture, and operating cleaning equipment and products.

Requires leadership skills, ability to motivate team members, and maintain confidentiality. Must demonstrate cooperation and sensitivity towards others.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
