Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. Environmental Services Worker cleans patient rooms and general spaces throughout the health system facilities following safe work practices and infection control procedures.

This role maintains designated areas to high disinfection standards and works within the established guidelines, with an ECB status and hours as needed by the department, typically 7:30am to 2:30pm and rotating weekends, offering limited benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write and understand safety signage
• Must meet physical requirements of the job
• Customer service oriented with strong communication

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing in patient rooms and common spaces.
• Maintains flooring care including cleaning, buffing, sealing, and finishing floors.
• Operates power equipment and hand tools for cleaning and maintenance.
• Provides waste collection including biomedical waste and recycling.
• Prepares cleaning solutions and uses appropriate equipment for surfaces.
• Restocks cleaning supplies such as toilet paper and soap.
• Carries out bed tracking tasks as needed.
• Reports maintenance or repair needs to management.
