Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment across patient rooms and common areas. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, waste removal, and following strict infection control and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), 6 months of housekeeping experience, and strong customer service and communication skills. Benefits and a supportive healthcare environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas and assigned spaces.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors.
• Follow infection control, safety and procedural guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment and supplies; assist in laundry as appropriate.
• Be on your feet for long shifts and handle lifting up to 40–50 lbs.
