Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to clean and disinfect patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, restock supplies, and maintain floors, carpets, and upholstery.

You will work independently within a defined area, collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service, and be available to cover across department sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and restock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas following established procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies necessary for tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Report general maintenance and specialized cleaning requirements in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees in navigating the hospital.
