An established industry player in senior care is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to support the maintenance and cleanliness of their nursing home. Job Summary
The Environmental Services Assistant assists the Environmental Services Director with the planning, organizing, and performing the general cleaning and maintenance of Mission Nursing Home. The primary purpose of the job position is to perform required cleaning procedures in an efficient, cost-effective manner meeting all State and Federal requirements, while providing a safe environment for our residents. Conduct consistently reflects the facility’s mission and values.
Qualifications
· High School graduate or GED
· Prior experience working in a senior care environment.
· Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
· Must be able to pass a State of Minnesota Department of Human Services criminal background study, as well as a United States Office of the Inspector General Exclusion search.
Essential Functions
· Performs general cleaning throughout the facility, as directed by the Environmental Services Director.
· Assists Environmental Services Director to ensure facility is in compliance with all appropriate State and Federal regulations.
· Partners effectively with others and supports all employees within the facility, as directed by the Environmental Services Director.
· Maintains a clean sanitary work area.
· Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by supervisor.
· Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
· Participates in facility and departmental meetings and inservices, as required.
· Maintains all cleaning logs, as directed by the Environmental Services Director.
· Coordinates daily services with other departments, as applicable, when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
· Follows cleaning schedule/instruction from supervisor and as outlined in established cleaning policies and procedures.
· Maintains PPE consistent with facility/state/federal regulations.
