Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a cleaning specialist to perform general cleaning and disinfection across areas at the Residential Treatment Center. You will follow CMS and Joint Commission standards, using approved chemicals with PPE to maintain clean exam rooms, classrooms, gym, restrooms, and more.

Schedule includes Sunday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 12:00 PM-8:30 PM. The role emphasizes safety, reporting hazards, and completing required training to support a safe, orderly

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning duties and monitors maintenance conditions.
• Perform routine and maintenance cleaning and disinfection processes in designated areas (e.g., exam rooms, classroom, gym, locker room, auditorium, office, cafeteria, restrooms, showers) following regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission).
• Maintains an uncluttered environment; identifies and reports potential safety hazards.
• Secures buildings at the end of the day (doors/windows).
• Spot cleans walls, washes windows as needed, and removes waste and litter.
• Uses approved chemicals per manufacturer directions with appropriate PPE.
• Reports safety concerns (floods, back-ups, leaks, hazards, equipment issues).
• Completes required training and competencies.
