Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation across the hospital, supporting infection control and a hygienic environment conducive to patient healing.

This full-time day shift role requires a High School diploma and prior hospital EVS experience; ability to lift 50 pounds; strong customer service and following written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hospital environmental service experience preferred.
• Experience following written and verbal instructions and performing manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to support infection control standards.

• Assist with daily housekeeping duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
