Mercy Fort Smith is seeking an Advanced Environmental Services Technician to uphold cleanliness, safety, and infection control in a hospital setting. You will work evenings in a full-time EVS role, ensuring a sterile environment that supports patient care and safety.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards, following written instructions, and providing courteous service to patients and visitors.

  • Prior hospital environmental service experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience performing manual tasks and working with the public.

Position Details
Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Prior hospital environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.

Physical Requirements
  • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
