Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, seeks an Environmental Services Tech to maintain patient rooms and common areas. You will follow infection control procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure high cleanliness standards across nursing stations and clinics.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, restocking supplies, reporting hazards, and participating in in-services. High school diploma or GED preferred; English proficiency and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and speak English for safe performance.
• Must pass all pre-employment screens.
• Must demonstrate ability to use supplies, tools and equipment properly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Successful completion of department orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices and corridors.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinics, stairs, elevators and other areas per procedure.
• Adhere to infection control procedures and safety guidelines.
• Reload supplies and report repair needs or safety hazards.
• Attend scheduled meetings and in-services as directed.
