Job summary

Horizon House is a senior living community seeking an Environmental Services Tech with professional housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, restocking, and supporting maintenance tasks to keep resident areas clean and safe.

  • Operate cleaning tools and maintain supplies in good order.

Pay Range: $21.74 to $24.65 per hour (based on union scale)

1st and 2nd shift available

Horizon House is actively seeking a community oriented and detail-focused Environmental Services Tech with professional housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality. This impactful team member is responsible for interacting with staff and residents in a professional, courteous manner while performing a variety of janitorial, housekeeping, and minor maintenance services necessary to keep our senior community and assisted living areas of Horizon House clean and sanitized per company policy and compliance guidelines.

What You'll Do
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and wax floors
  • Dust, wipe, and clean walls, windows, and other surfaces
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Take out garbage, compost, recycling, and dirty laundry
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and make beds
  • Wash and fold resident laundry when needed
  • Keep cleaning supplies and tools organized and clean
  • Use a walkie-talkie to answer calls from staff
  • Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for events and meetings
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
  • Education: High school graduation, GED or equivalent (preferred, not required)
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent professional housekeeping experience in a healthcare organization, or hospitality/hotel setting is highly preferred.
  • Communications: Must be able to communicate in English, including following written and verbal directions, and engaging with senior residents while exhibiting core values at all interactions.
  • Knowledge: Able to use a vacuum, cleaning products, broom, mop, cart, elevators, two‑way radio, ladders, large floor care equipment, and other related supplies/equipment.
