Job summary

Methodist Specialty Care Center in Flowood, MS is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Technician II to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. The role focuses on floor and carpet care, waste handling, linen transport and general cleaning duties.

The position requires 2 years of related experience and a HS diploma or GED, with a 7:00 am – 3:30 pm shift, full-time and on-site work at the MS facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of housekeeping or environmental services experience.
• Ability to perform physical duties safely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard-surface floors and carpets by stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extract & bonnet methods.
• Perform floor maintenance in patient rooms, offices, boardrooms, corridors, lobbies, stairwells, cafeterias and common areas.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste per procedures; transport regulated medical waste and soiled linen.
