Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, MS is hiring an EVS Technician II to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. You will perform specialized floor care, cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and public areas, and operate cleaning equipment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of housekeeping experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of housekeeping or environmental services experience.
• Must be able to follow safety and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized floor maintenance on hard surfaces and carpeted areas.
• Strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extract, and bonnet floors and carpeting as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, offices, boardrooms, corridors, lobbies and entrances, stairwells, cafeterias, and other public areas.
• Remove trash and handle regulated medical waste per established procedures.
• Collect and transport soiled linens.
• Operate and care for cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
• Follow hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection-control practices.
• Work cooperatively with other Environmental Services team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
