Job summary

The Hughes Center, part of Universal Health Services, in South Central Virginia, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper) for a full-time role. You will clean and sanitize residential and clinical spaces to ensure a safe, aseptic environment for youth, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include following routines, maintaining supply closets, and adhering to health and safety standards. Must be 21+, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and capable of standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize common lounge areas, nursing stations, service areas, offices and school buildings according to schedule.
• Clean restrooms and residents' rooms with germicidal solutions.
• Maintain stocked custodial closets and cleaning carts, doors kept locked from resident access.
