Job summary

Responsibilities

• Clean interior of the hospital and all patient areas, offices, and common spaces.
• Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, and clinical areas.
• Use and maintain equipment and chemicals per procedure.
• Transport trash and hazardous waste to the disposal area.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate.

Job Description

• This position requires every 4th weekend and every 4th holiday.
• Will be responsible for complete cleaning of the interior of the hospital.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Housekeeping experience preferred
• Must be dependable and a team player
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to withstand long periods of standing and walking
