Job summary

Hillcrest Shadow Lake is seeking an Environmental Services Tech to join our team in Papillion, NE. The role focuses on keeping resident areas clean, safe, and welcoming, with responsibilities across rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces.

You will work full-time days with every-other-weekend rotations, collaborating with a caring team to inspire residents to live their best lives in a comfortable home.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare is preferred.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean, sanitary, organized, and resident-ready.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and extract flooring as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily.
• Clean resident rooms on a consistent schedule.
• Maintain clean, inviting hallways and common areas.
• Organize housekeeping carts and stock supplies.
• Deliver personal clothing to laundry and return to residents.

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-minded Environmental Services Tech to join our team at Hillcrest Shadow Lake.

What You’ll Do

As an Environmental Services Tech, you will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, organized, and ready for residents, families, and team members.

You will:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout assigned areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and extract flooring as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms on a consistent schedule.
• Keep neighborhoods, hallways, and common areas clean and inviting.
• Keep housekeeping carts clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Deliver personal clothing to the laundry area and return clean clothing to residents.
• Ensure resident clothing is labeled according to established procedures.
• Clean and stock offices, clinics, and other assigned areas.
• Complete deep cleaning of resident rooms during transitions and as needed.
• Keep hand sanitizer stations stocked and ready for use.
• Assist with resident room transfers and mattress changes.
• Monitor supplies and communicate when additional items are needed.
• Respond to cleaning needs promptly and professionally.
• Support other departments and areas when needed.
• Jump in wherever needed to help keep the community looking and feeling its best.

Education & Experience

Physical & Other Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Must be able to safely perform housekeeping and environmental services duties.
• Must be able to work independently and remain productive throughout the day.
• Must be flexible and calm when responding to resident, family, visitor, or team needs.
• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment, supplies, and available technology safely and effectively.
• Must follow established infection-control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation.
• Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, communicable diseases, and bodily fluids.
• Other duties as assigned.
