• Follow proper cleaning, disinfecting, hand hygiene, and PPE practices to support a safe healthcare environment.
• Maintain assigned areas, supplies, equipment, carts, and storage spaces in a clean and organized manner.
• Complete cleaning checklists and documentation accurately.
• Process, sort, fold, and distribute linens as needed.
• Operate laundry equipment, including washers and dryers, and report equipment concerns.
• Prepare and deliver linen carts throughout the hospital.
• Assist with moving furniture and other assigned tasks.
• Respond appropriately to immediate cleaning needs while prioritizing daily responsibilities.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in training, meetings, and department improvement activities.

Ringgold County Hospital is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team. This important role helps ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. The Environmental Services Technician is an essential part of our infection prevention efforts and contributes directly to the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Ringgold County Hospital

RCH is an affiliate of MercyOne. Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more.

The hospital also owns and operates the Ringgold County Ambulance Service and the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. We also regularly host specialty outpatient clinics, so our patients have access to thespecialist care they need, when and where they need it. Mount Ayr Medical Clinicis ourrural health clinic located within Ringgold County Hospital. The current facilities were built in 2009 and features modern, large, and spacious. The physicians at Mount Ayr Medical Clinic treat patients of all ages between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic also functions much like an urgent care facility, treating those without life-threatening symptoms but who require immediate medical attention.
