Essential Functions
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays, CT scans, MRI, etc.) as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate radiology equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Follow established protocols for radiation safety and patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Works to maintain efficiency in the Department with particular attention to technique and patient procedures to avoid unnecessary exposure and wastage of films.
- Assists with Quality Control as necessary or as indicated by the Radiology Director.
- Works to maintain records.
Requirements
On Call
Ability to take call. Rotating nights and weeks.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Successful completion of an approved Radiology program.
- ARRT or Registry eligible.
- Competence in components of radiography practice as appropriate.
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Understands HIPAA regulations and privacy of patient and employee information.
