Job summary

MaineHealth's Lincoln Hospital is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Team Member (Housekeeping) to join our cleaning and safety-focused team. The position features a 40-hour week with day shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and disposing of trash from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at regular intervals throughout the shift.
  • Collecting and processing of soiled linen bags from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at regular intervals throughout the shift.
  • Collection and processing of Biohazardous Waste from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at least once per shift.
  • Cleaning of floors in the hospital utilizing the department’s Nobles and NSS floor cleaning equipment as well as manual mopping.
  • Cleaning of stairwells in the hospital.
  • Cleaning of elevators in the hospital.
  • Assistance with unloading of clean linens and their distribution throughout the hospital.
  • Responding to general cleaning requests received on department iPhones.
  • Assistance with upkeep of our departmental vacuums.

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full orPart timeEnvironmental Service Technician position.
  • Bonus amount prorated forPart timehires,per diem hires are ineligible.
  • CurrentMaineHealthmember employees are ineligible; former MaineHealthMembersare ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This position will have a custodial focus and can include:

This position consists of 40 hours per week, day shifts. The schedule is 6:00a-2:30p including weekend and major/minor holiday rotation

Summary

The Environmental Services Team Member role performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas to ensure standards of cleanliness and safety.
