Job summary

Lincoln Hospital is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Team Member (Housekeeping) to join their team. A limited-time sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 is offered for eligible Environmental Service Technicians.

The role focuses on custodial tasks, including trash and linen handling, waste collection, floor cleaning, and responding to cleaning requests. The schedule is 6:00a-2:30p, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and disposing of trash from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at regular intervals throughout the shift.
  • Collecting and processing of soiled linen bags from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at regular intervals throughout the shift.
  • Collection and processing of Biohazardous Waste from Soiled Utility rooms in the hospital at least once per shift.
  • Cleaning of floors in the hospital utilizing the department’s Nobles and NSS floor cleaning equipment as well as manual mopping.
  • Cleaning of stairwells in the hospital.
  • Cleaning of elevators in the hospital.
  • Assistance with unloading of clean linens and their distribution throughout the hospital.
  • Responding to general cleaning requests received on department iPhones.
  • Assistance with upkeep of our departmental vacuums.
  • This position consists of 40 hours per week, day shifts. The schedule is 6:00a-2:30p including weekend and major/minor holiday rotation

  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This position will have a custodial focus and can include:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.70 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
