Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks an Environmental Services Resource Coordinator to lead EVS standards, plan schedules, and supervise staff in a fast-paced hospital setting in Illinois. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and patient-facing skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with patients of all ages.
• Must have exceptional patient relations skills and reliability.
• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• No lifting restrictions and good attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and review EVS standards and procedures.
• Plan work schedules and EVS coverage.
• Assist manager and coordinate with other departments.
• Participate in interviews and staff evaluations.
• Orient, train, and supervise EVS staff.
• Inspect facility condition and manage supplies and space.
• Report unsafe conditions and research EVS improvements.
• Coordinate EVS activities with other departments.
• Possibly serve on facility-wide committees.
• Conduct daily coaching with EVS staff.
• Schedule major project work and ensure staffing and supplies.
