The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach

The role you’ll contribute:

Provides supervision for the daily functions and activities within the environmental services department. Responsible for supervising EVS staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met for the hospital and adjacent facilities. Promotes teamwork to ensure work is completed timely and helps maintain an efficient and safe working environment. Assumes responsibility for day, evening, or night shift operation of the EVS department and related duties.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises and monitors staff to ensure proper work performance
• Creates and reviews schedules; approves scheduling requests
• Documents all work performed, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to cleaning standards
• Supervises staff by assigning work, training, hiring, evaluating performance, implementing progressive discipline, and recommending termination as appropriate

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you need to succeed:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience

Preferred:

• 2+ years of technical experience
• 1+ years of leadership/management experience
