POSITION: Sr. Mobile Advisor (Security Shift Supervisor - 1st Shift, Includes Weekends - 2nd Shift)

DEPARTMENT: Safety, Security & Transportation

REPORTS TO: Safety, Security & Transportation Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Reports to the Safety, Security and Transportation Manager. Supervises center activity in the absence of the House Supervisors, Phase Managers, and Center Director. Demonstrates ongoing commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards, including workplace relations and ethics, information management, communications, multicultural awareness, personal growth and development, career and personal planning, interpersonal skills, and independent living.

Work Schedule:

Saturday & Sunday, 3pm to Midnight

Three days during the week (Monday - Friday), 7am - 4pm

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Tours the center periodically to monitor activity.
  2. Maintains a logbook of calls, incidents, observations, decisions, and actions.
  3. Ensures orderly departure of trainees and notifies guardians when necessary.
  4. Maintains safe, clean living conditions.
  5. Prepares detailed reports of notable events.
  6. Informs the Center Director of urgent matters, including major incidents and emergencies.
  7. Provides leadership training on effective communication, conflict management, zero tolerance policies, and social skills.
  8. Supervises assigned student cadets.
  9. Attends required staff training.
  10. Adheres to the Center Quality Assurance Plan.
  11. Models appropriate CSS and employability skills, including responsibility and computer proficiency.
  12. Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, following safety practices.
  13. Fosters a respectful, harassment-free environment.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of professional experience working with youth.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience, including two in supervision.
  • Prefer extensive experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Additional Requirements:
  • Regular attendance and ability to motivate staff.
  • Ability to develop work plans and handle multiple priorities.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (must obtain and maintain).
  • Proficiency with computers and software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and interact effectively with team members and staff.
Physical Demands:

Requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, talking, and listening. Occasionally bending, stooping, carrying, running, and driving. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual capabilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Environmental Demands:

Work involves 50% outdoor and 50% indoor environments, with exposure to moderate noise, high summer temperatures, and low winter temperatures.
