Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)

Location: AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach

Role:

Provides supervision for the daily functions and activities within the environmental services department. Responsible for supervising EVS staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met for the hospital and adjacent facilities. Promotes teamwork to ensure work is completed timely and maintains an efficient and safe working environment. Assumes responsibility for day, evening, or night shift operations of the EVS department.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises and monitors staff to ensure proper performance
• Creates and reviews schedules; approves scheduling requests
• Documents all work performed, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to cleaning standards
• Supervises staff by assigning work, training, hiring, evaluating performance, implementing progressive discipline, and recommending termination when appropriate

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2+ years of experience

Preferred:

• 2+ technical experience
• 1+ leadership/management experience
