Job summary

Join Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, as an Environmental Services Supervisor. You will lead the Environmental Services team, oversee daily operations, and ensure a clean, safe patient environment in a state-of-the-art facility.

This role runs evenings from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with on-call duties; you will mentor staff, coordinate training, and uphold the highest standards of service within a renowned health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager or Supervisor preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree may substitute the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the functions, daily operations and caregivers in the Environmental Services department.
• Provide effective utilization of personnel, policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
• Continuously inspect assigned areas to ensure high quality cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain staffing levels and approve and schedule paid time off and leave requests.
• Ensure cross coverage.
• Coordinate and provide orientation, education and training.
• Improve procedures and processes.

A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11:30pm, Every Other Weekend on call, Every third holiday on call.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High Sc hool D iploma or GED
• One year of experience as a Work Leader, Team Lead, Project Manager of Supervisor
• A B achelor's D egree may substitute the experience requirement

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment\
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
• Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
• Requires full body motion, including ability to perform work while lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, squatting and reaching.
• Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Light Work - Exerting 11 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
