Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Environmental Services Staff member for The Sanford Center in Bemidji, MN. This part-time housekeeping position supports events and daily venue operations with a flexible schedule, typically 5–20 hours per week and a pay of $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, setting up event spaces, and reporting safety or maintenance concerns. Experience in large venues is a plus; benefits include medical/dental/vision and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including flexible hours (evenings, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, including restrooms, offices, public spaces, event areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Set up and break down facilities for events, including arranging furniture, equipment, and other event-related materials as needed.
• Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to the appropriate personnel.

FLSA STATUS: Hourly- Part time (5-20 hours weekly)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred but not required
• Experience working in large public venues, hospitality, healthcare, or commercial facilities is a plus.

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe chemical handling practices
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
