Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a 16-week interactive learning experience covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Operating and teaching others to operate industrial cleaning equipment, and performing job duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker.
  • Leadership Development: Assisting in staff training, quality control, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Policies & Procedures: Ensuring standards, safety, inventory, and customer service are met.
  • Reporting: Maintaining records on income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and facility assessments.
  • Leadership: Handling managerial duties such as payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, and budgeting.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Communication: Conveying directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Using PPE, handling cleaning solutions safely, and adhering to infection control policies.
  • Punctuality: Maintaining attendance and responding promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Representing HCSG courteously and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to work independently without injury.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area.
