Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a 16-week interactive training experience, combining hands-on and computer-based learning. The program covers:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform various housekeeping and laundry tasks, operate industrial cleaning equipment, and teach others.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff support according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Learn to ensure quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service are maintained.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and documentation.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Handle payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Communication: Convey directives effectively to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety protocols, and report issues promptly.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG professionally and courteously.
  • Experience: Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
  • Residency within the service area required.
