Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. This comprehensive, approximately sixteen-week program includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating various industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership and support to ensure quality standards, safety, inventory, and customer service expectations are met, following applicable standards and policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment for management review.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards, including regular site assessments.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities such as payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively relay directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, handle cleaning solutions safely, and follow infection control policies. Report equipment or product issues promptly. Adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, arrive on time, and complete tasks per schedule. Respond promptly to paging systems.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with staff and clients.
  • Experience: Engage in positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside in the service area.
